Day 3 gone

So far, so good with radiation. It is quick and easy. The valet does not even park our car we are in and out so quick. I still have a rash on my arms and legs-- whether it is from the morhphine or IV antibiotics. Some of the creme and pills they gave me help. With any luck, I will be off the IV after Tuesday. If the rash persists then, I know it is the morphine, and I can get them to change the pain meds. One day we will get to the bottom of all of this!

The place where the surgeon removed part of the vein does ache, but it REALLY hurts when the packing is removed and it is repacked (in order to heal). It is still pretty much "raw" meat - sorry for being so graphic,I know it a week or two it will be more tolerable. Most of the time, I can handle the pain but that packing and unpacking are really tough. I now know why the doctor and Home Health care person kept telling me I was really brave. I am not! I just had no idea what I was getting into.

I've slept way too much this week. All the medication changing did some of that. Consequently, I am behind doing some personal and work paperwork. I am going to try to get caught up on all that this weekend. Syd and Zola are coming over tomorrow to help me with somethings too so that will be fun. We do not have have radiation on Memorial Day Monday, but we still can't sleep late because of the IV drugs. Maybe next weekend!

Geri,
I wish I could endure some of your pain. I love you and Clyde and I are so proud and admiring of your incredible strength. Dr. Bob, thank you. cin

Geri, You are brave and your attitude shows it! You and Bob deserve awards and ribbons from this battle! I know you are going to win this fight! You've got an army of prayers and positive thoughts on your side! Tell Syd hi and that LeAnne Petry asked about her - she is in Destin this week-end. Take care of yourself and the battle scars and know we all love you, Jamie
