It's always something

Bob always tells me I don't watch where I am going. He is right! I was holding my head up straight because my port hurt and was not watching my feet. In the parking lot, I tripped over the concrete thing that stops your car from rolling. I fell straight down and had my right arm and left palm hit the ground first to protect me. It scared me more than anything, with needles and chemo still going through me. Fortunately, I think I was ok. I found some scrapes this morning I did not even know were injured. I am a little sore in some places but no big deal. Here is the weird thing. The port hurts less. Maybe the jolt knocked it into or just enough out of place to end the pain. Anyway, I took a pain pill as I always do at night before I go to bed. I did not wake up and want one in the middle of the night nor have I had one yet today. Go figure!

I feel pretty good today. The medicine going through you makes you feel kind of "funny" but other wise I am fine. My cell service here is in and out so the only work I can do is email right now. So if you need me, send an email!

Ready to go

Just had my blood work, saw the Dr and waiting to get my labs before I start Round 3. I did ask today what happens after Round 4. Just as I suspected, the surgeon makes the call. He will probably order an MRI and the decide if I am ready for surgery. The chemo Dr said it is likely I will have 2 to 4 rounds of chemo after surgery, as that is the most effective way to treat sarcoma. I am hoping for just 2 (or none since I was sure I was reaching Super Chemo Girl status) but if 4 is what it takes for this nasty stuff to not come back, it will be worth it. Radiation may be somewhere in between. I really knew all this but I just needed to hear it again.

It was a nice weekend, although I only left the house for about an hour. I still get tired very easily and with the extremely high pollen count I just did not want to have any other complications. So much to my disappointment, I did not get to go watch tennis on Sunday. Friends Bonnie, Gerald and Lisa visited on Saturday afternoon, and it was great to see them. Our friends Debbie and Joe brought dinner and a movie over Sat night, so it was almost like a real social outing -- something I have not had in a couple of months. It made me feel a little more human again!

I am here all week with Chemo Mon-Thurs and in for a couple of hours of fluid on Friday. That is now part of my routine since it kept me from having Home Health Care in Round 2. Hope you Monday is going well.
