ok Monday

It was going to be a pretty uneventful day today until Susan, who does my nails, called and said she would start coming here since I could not comfortably come there. She came this afternoon, and I am so happy. With no hair, nails are about the only cosmetic thing I can get taken care of. So now I am good for a couple of weeks! I am not sure what it says about your life when getting your nails done is an "event", but I am learning to celebrate the small stuff too!

Tomorrow, college friends Jan and Rochelle are coming from Birmingham to visit for a few hours. We have been trying to get together for weeks, but something always happens that causes us to put it off. I think we will finally be able to pull this off tomorrow.

We go back to the wound surgeon Wednesday, and I think he is going to be really pleased. Bob says the wound is healing quickly and looks really good. I will not look at it. It is always bandaged (except when he is cleaning and packing it) and I just do not want to see it. Other than that and daily radiation, we have no other doctor visits. So I am hoping today, with my nails, is our most eventful day!
